V40 emission fault warning

What does this mean and Do I need to take the car to the garage immediately?

Might be worth a visit to dealers especially if cars under warranty

If it's the engine warning light that's illuminated then it doesn't need immediate attention but do have it looked at.

It will probably be either the well-known EGR problem (for which there is a fix that Volvo should pay for) or a dirty O2 sensor which needs a clean (a 20 minute job for the dealer).

Thanks for replying have booked in for a check as the car is still under warranty
