Have today looked at the gearbox in my store here and see it is an M41 with the short gearstick OK - and it comes with the bellhousing for a clutch cable (so from a 140 rather than a hydraulic-clutch car).
Will be going to my store near my sons place in the next day or so, and think I have another similar 'box there too (as I have a photo of one - and the background isn't here!).

Confirm I have another M41 'box with short gearstick at my place on the south coast, but it doesn't have a bellhousing.
