MAF Sensor Failure and symptoms
 

Just putting it out there for anyone who experiences a similar problem. My MAF failed with following symptoms:

1. Violent and momentary loss of power on acceleration during overtaking at 60km.
2. Constant stalling when shifted from P to D.
3. When running, short normal running (for 20m) followed by complete and constant stalling.
4. When power supply to MAF removed, power returned and running normally with no stalled engine.
5 Diagnostic Code: MAF (DTC, ECM 1300: iCarSoft)

VOLVO branded replacement part $807.00 AUD.
FCP and IPD OEM Bosch replacement part $122.00 US + shipping.
