1998 2.9 S80 auto transmission problem
Hi,
Looking for advice on a transmission problem with my 1998 2.9 S80. The car shifts through the gears very smoothly and selecting drive or reverse is problem free. However, sometimes when i come to a stop in drive the vehicle starts to judder intermittently, almost feels like the car is misfiring. When I select neutral the juddering stops. When selecting drive again the car engages smoothly and the gears changes smoothly again. The fluid is a nice pink colour although there’s nothing in the service history with respect to a gearbox service. Any ideas as to potential problems? Many thanks in advance, Steve. |
Reads like a TCC (Torque Converter Clutch) malfunction. A solenoid down in the valve body is involved too.
I'd think it'd throw a code. Not all readers can scan for transmission codes. I never dealt with one. |
