Turned engine over cough, splutter, then to my relief it settled down took for a test drive all problems gone.

The only thing i will say is i used one off the same model as i have altho it was a 98 "S" reg as apposed to a 99 "T" reg, and also it was an auto mine is a manual. Once all finished i took the car for an extended test drive (200 miles approx) and it runs perfect now.

To sum up if you are thinking of doing the same make sure the replacement ETM comes off the same ENGINE model as yours, as far as i can tell you wont go far wrong.

Just one last thing the replacement only cost me £50, if anyone needs one mail me as i can get hold of a few more at this price, obviously postage is extra, im not looking to make any money out of this just cover the costs of the ETM and postage

It looks like the scrap yards have cottoned onto this now as they are charging premium prices for yellow sticker ETMs. My man has none at the moment.

hi, just been reading through your posts and was wondering if you could get hold of the original white label etm for a 2001 s60 2.0t, desperate for one, been let down and conned from ebay, 1st was wrong part and 2nd said i havnt paid when i have the reciept for paying in his bank! any help appreciated im just not trusting anybody from ebay now....

Hi Simon, I am having the same probs with what I think is my ETM. There are some available but I don't know where mine is located! It's a 2006 V70 2.0 ltr petrol. Any ideas please, and do you know where the links to that video showing an ETM being fitted can be found. Regards, Tony
