Drivers door lock
 

help! what am i doing wrong, just bought a 2004 C70 automatic r/hand drive, all going well until recently when my wife used the car !! I can no longer unlock the car without using the key, whereas, before, the remote key fob unlocked both doors. Additionally, if i accidentally press the remote whilst sitting in the drivers seat the drivers door locks & I can't get out with climbing across to the passenger seat..............any ideas on how to rectify without the expense of going to the dealers or a autosparks etc...........thanks

I've had similar on my classic V70. The lock mechanism had a broken plastic lever and I replaced the complete mechanism with one from a breakers. You really need to remove the mechanism from the door to investigate which involves removing the inner door panel and the door handle. Bit fiddly but not too bad. Regards.
