New Diesel Engine Torque Curves?
 

Has anybody found a torque curve graph for the new 5 cylinder diesel engines. I have asked Volvo but whilst helpful it seems to be beyond them.

I am particularily interested to find out what the twin turbos do for torque at lower revs which matters greatly for towing.

2.4 D5 & 2.4D Power & Torque Curves

I was looking for same information to help me decide if I should go for one of the last of the 185BHP D5's with single large turbo 175BHP 2.4D or 205BHP D5.

Information from WhatDiesel Magazine indicate wider flatter torque curve for D5.

2.4D 310lb ft at 1500 - 2750 with 173BHP @ 4000RPM

2.4 D5 310lb ft at 1500-3250 with 202BHP @ 4000RPM

I've just traded my 2001 163BHP D5 for a new 175BHP 2.4D and it is more responsive at lower revs. I have yet to explore it's potential as weather's poor and it's only done 300 miles. Once it's run in I will get a better idea.

If you get the curves please let me know as I have others (inc chipped) plotted on excel spreadsheet for comparison.

If anybody is running the new V70 with 175 and especially 205, could you confirm MPG after it has been run in. Thx
