We have just done the same: our trusty old Bailey Pageant, bought new 16 years ago has moved on to its new home and has been replaced by a Lunar Clubman.
I advertised the Bailey on facebook marketplace on a Friday evening and it had gone by the Sunday night. The new owners are delighted and keep sending us pictures of the caravan pitched in various sites all over the north of England. They have been away every weekend since they bought it a month ago.
Our Lunar replacement belonged to my wife’s parents and they decided to give up caravanning, so we bought it from them. There were a few minor niggles to sort out, mainly as a result of lack of use, but it seems to be ok. Time will tell; if it lasts anywhere near as long as the Bailey has, it will have been a good un.
First trip away in it next week.

We have also just upgraded ours, we’ll sort of sent her away for a bit of TLC had her completely stripped out re lined and put back together. Have fun in your new box

We changed ours last year, 2004 bailey pagent vendee as our non retiring pressents to ourselves.
No point a caravan you cannot afford to use.

Having had sterling service from it went looking for another Bailey. Sadly a very disappointing experiance, while spec on paper is good biuld quality is frankly atrocious. In my view biult in obsolescence is a short time span away as there is no way new ones will last as older ones have. A 6mm gap between the draw bottom and front on a brand new van is not good quality control, pocket doors that have no bottom rail and hence flap about will not last long.

This was not just 1 rouge van, it was multiple vans at multiple dealers.

I looked at other makes and went with a coachman vip, biuld quality in a different league and far better than the extra £1000 would suggest. Everything is biult properly. Yes it's a heavier van but it will see us out.

Paul.
