1979 Volvo 244 DL. Tax + MOT
 

For sale is my 1979 V-reg 244DL (saloon), 2.1, 4 speed manual. MOT until 28/DEC/08 and TAX until 30/JUN/09.


Its done only 62k from new, has some history, receipts etc.
The blue cloth interior is in good complete condition, and not been smoked in. The bodywork is all very solid, the paint is white/cream colour, its recently had one rear wheelarch replaced and the other repaired. The rear panel below the boot lid has also been repaired, these bits are in primer so the car will need some paint work. The underside is as new, and never been welded.

Mechanically its as good as new, its been serviced every 6 months. The cambelt was replaced at 58K and also at about the same time it had a full brake rebuild with new calipers front and rear, new discs and pads and a new master cylinder. All four tyres are very good with no damage and loads of tread left. It also has a towbar.
It drives very well with no rattles etc and does not smoke at all.
The MOT runs until 28 December 08, it had no problems last time and has only done about 300 miles since, so it should be fine next time.
I also have a few spares for it that will be included.

This is a very regretable sale as I was going to use it as a classic but unfortunatly I have got too many cars and not enough space!

Hi, it sold but, for the second time the guy hasnt shown up and when contacted is making excuses!
I think hes a banger racer so I dont really want him to have it anyway!

It is indeed in Torstens fleet! I think he intends to use it for towing.

Im just glad it went to a good home and not to the banger track!!

It's mine and will be the new a-frame bitch! However I have got to say this, it has got to be one of the nicest 240's I've ever driven, 4 speed but feels really agile and coped superbly with motorway and London, I love it! I will get the cosmetics sorted but Mr S Brick really did a great job looking after it!

Better a tow car than a banger racer. Glad that it's in good hands :)
