Factory fitted digital video receiver not recognised by RSE
 
Hi all, just purchased a 60 plate xc90 (my third xc90) and this one has high spec including a factory fitted volvo digital video receiver. TV for the RSE. Alas the unit appears inert in that the RSE menu does not recognise the TV. Is there something I am missing? All the cables are there, but I am not sure that the unit is live. Previous owner didn't even know it was there.
Any clues as to where to start to get it working, or is it straight to a main dealer?

VIDA has some rather rudimentary diagnostic procedures requiring no test equipment (as the RSE has no diagnostics)

Do you have VIDA?

the TV is analogue hence nothing to receive anymore ...

The XC90 came with a digital TV tuner

It will still receive digital TV

The Volvo digital TV tuner was available for many years
It still works as I understand it
I have never seen a car with it fitted though.

They must be ultra rare , I have only seen the analogue ones fitted ..
