Occasional flashing Immobilizer Light
Alright, I’m getting very annoyed at my V40. I’m regularly getting a flashing immobilizer light when attempting to start the car. When this happens engine will not turn over. Eventually if I turn ignition on and off enough times it will start but it’s only a matter of time before I get stranded somewhere.
Has this happened to any of you? So far I have: 1- cleaned contacts on ECM and immobilizer midlife 2- replaced immobilizer module with a used on from wreckyard 3 - unplugged replugged all ecm connectors to make sure all snapped back in. Any suggestions? |
also replaced CEM with a wreckyard version...no difference.

Replaced the immobilizer ring today...time will tell. I would have replaced that first but for whatever reason I did not think the ring could be replaced separately on the V40. We’ll see how I fair.

I have the same problem, but for some reason when is cold weather that is not happening, but over the sumer it is a nightmare.
