Out of interest would you be happy for your car to be electronically limited to 70 mph?
|
Some time ago there was a suggestion that'they' could reduce motorcycle accidents by electronically limiting speed to the speed limit. There was also the possibility of linking car speed to GPS signals with the GPS controlling speed.
It was pointed out that GPS doesn't get updated for road works etc. Overtaking could become dangerous. It would also have to be retrofitted to all vehicles. American freeways have much lower speed limits generally and stiffer penalties. They still have problems! |

nanny B/s can gtf same as the "spy box" to reduce your insurance,, how long before your insurance co reports you for 31mph in a 30 zone,, and hikes your premiums "we have proof you speed, even if the police wont act" and the sheeple lap it up with "ah but......" b/s excuses claiming them to be reasons,, and hurling youtube footage to "prove it" fact is we are now living in a world populated by f-wits and morons who can not and will not think for themselves are so far up there one self entitled arses |
And the point is? Crisis over let's just drive as fast as we can? Whatever the reason it's still the law! Campaign against the law instead of whinging about it being enforced, by whatever means.

Having policed in Germany where most autobahns had no speed limit, accidents were few and far between, but those that did happen killed everyone involved... |
Hence the use of the word possibly. My point is that if a law so offends that it is ignored by individuals then those people should campaign to see it repealed.
3 years ago TOMORROW my 20 year old grandson was driven off the road by 'some f*wit' who didn't think the speed law applied to him. My grandson spent 6 hours, in an upside down car, and died alone. His birthday is Christmas Eve. People who don't obey the laws, who think that they are better than others, who cause accidents and run away, don't deserve any respect, nor will I ever give any! You ask anyone who has lost someone by another driver and you will hear the same. |
Andy d. Who is more up their own arse? The law abider or the self entitled dickhead who think they are above the law and can do whatever they want?

Years ago one of my neighbours was killed by a drunken bus driver. He'd finished work for the day, sank his usual 8 pints, and driven off as usual.
She was 17 and learning to drive. |
