Volvo 855 T5 Manual for sale in Danbury, Essex
 

It is with great sadness I have to sell my 855 T5. I have had it for a few years now and spent a lot of time on it. I would dry store the car if I had somewhere, however that isn’t a possibility.
I am selling the car with what I think is a premature turbo failure. There is a whine/whistle at WOT above ~4k rpm. I have tested and inspected the boost system and am taking a guess at a damaged exhaust turbine. The car makes full power and drives as normal. Annoyingly there appears to also be a slow coolant leak from the radiator (takes several weeks to notice coolant drop at 350 miles a week). I must stress that the car can absolutely be driven away as normal and I am still using it daily.
The car is on just under 140k miles, MOT until September 2020. I have fitted 16” Alcar steels sprayed in silver (by me) with Michelin PS3 tyres all around including a matching spare in the boot. 5mm tread front and 7mm tread rear. The original bare Columba wheels will be included. I will also include the original flywheel, driveshafts, diff and new spare seals/gaskets I have put aside.
New oil, filter and sparks plugs just fitted a few days ago.
I have a stack of receipts for all the parts listed below. 2 spare keys and an alarm fob.

Jobs completed over the last 3 years:
Suspension refresh totalling ~£750
New SKF driveshafts
All new FAG and SKF wheel bearings
New fuel pump
New Meyle HD wishbones
New Meyle drop links
New Meyle inner and outer tie rods
Volvo PCV kit
Volvo radiator
New front brake lines
New fuel filter and bracket
INA timing belt kit and water pump at ~100k miles
New Intake and exhaust manifold gaskets
Sunroof glass removed, frame stripped painted and glass re-bonded
Rear wiper mechanism repaired and new bush fitted
New Volvo boot lock
New slave cylinder
Odometer gear replaced
New coil, leads and cap
New Brake discs and pads
New Hand brake shoes
New throttle cable
Gas strut dog guard fitted

Ferrita 3” down pipe with 100 cell cat
Ferrita 2.5” cat back exhaust
16T angled flange turbo
DO88 Intercooler
DO88 black charge pipes and some coolant pipes
TTV “Lite” flywheel
850R clutch
Quaife ATB differential
Eibach springs
Volvo front strut brace
300HK chipped ECU (original ECU also included)
Braided clutch line
GROM Bluetooth kit with hands free

I’m looking for £1000 and I would like the car to go to a good home. I should think it would be worth more like £3000 in perfect order.

I am not willing to break the car for anyone who is wondering, but thanks for the interest. It is probably only a CHRA and radiator away from being mechanically very good.
