1989 740 GLE Wagon fuel Problems PLEASE HELP???
 

Hi,
I have a 1989 Volvo GLE wagon with the 2.3 L fuel injected engine. This car has been fabulous for the past 3 years but now, I am having some problems. When the gas gauge reads 1/2 tank the car acts like it is out of gas. It is using more gas then it usually does as well. I have replaced the relay and that didn't do any good at all. Any one have some suggestions???

1989 is going to be K jetronic fuel injection so you will most likely be running a mixer system.

Sounds like the vapouriser needs adjusting/draining off or possibly rebuild.


Simple to fix when you know your way around the system but to direct over emails etc I'd need lots of photos of what you ahve there.

karenressler. Hi do you have any problem with temprature guage at the same time? like reading hot after switching on the key.
