car cutting out.

car is V70 R DESIGN 2010 AUTO.
had a fault while sitting with engine running it showed a fault on charging then lots of faults and cut out would not re start. Just did a check on obd and now shows a low charging fault p0562 . would 5this just be alternator not charging or something else? I have been told it could be more than alternator.

Did you use a generic code reader or Vida? Poor charging or poor battery condition can cause issues.

Try reposting here in the appropriate subsection,

There be plenty of wisdom in there.

charging

I used a garage grade code reader and multi meter meter shows battery at 13 volts no change shown with engine running . volt/ alt tester shows fault ie no charge from alternator. after clearing codes they show again after approx. 5 mins of run time. code p0562. No other faults on car millage on car is 49009. on a 2010 V70 R Design . So worth repairing.

Most recommend using Vida Dice so you can monitor the system. Try throwing a thread into the V70 section, you might get the answer you’re looking for. Good luck.
