RE: Oil light comes on at low revs.
I have a 93 Torslanda and it has done this from new. No one ever found out why, and it has now done 265,000 miles.
I have been told that it is unimportant, as long as the light goes out as soon as you increase the revs beyond about 1000rpm. I have observed that pressure sender switches vary in their sensitivity, and chancing on a less sensitive one can apparently 'cure' the problem. |
RE: Oil light comes on at low revs.
I agree that it's not important. It just says that the oil pressure is low which doesn't mean that there's no oil at all. It all depends on the type of oil and the wear of the engine. Don't worry about it. :) |
RE: Oil light comes on at low revs.
OK Thank you. It does go out when revs go over 1000 rpm, so i will just have to live with it.
