Alignment

I have a 2011 C30 T5, manual transmission. Can someone give me the alignment specs? Also, WITHIN the specs, what bias can be introduced to eliminate a little understeer?

Thanks!

I think the under steer is dialed in at the factory to make then idiot proof. There isn't really anything you can adjust at the front other than tracking without making modifications. To really tackle the under steer you'll need to stiffen the front up (harder springs, thicker ARB etc.)

Other way round surely? Increasing roll stiffness at the rear will tend to reduce understeer, as will increasing front track width, but within the limits of what’s possible with mere nut and bolt tweaking of what’s there, then you’re really down to playing with toe settings and tyre pressures.

You are however playing with a chassis whose flexi, rubbery and deliberately deformable bits are getting on for the thick end of decade old.. They are without doubt past their best. Same goes for the shocks. Replacing all the bushings in the front AND rear* will help give you a more stable, predictable and consistent chassis to work with.

*(chassis designers tend to design in a degree of passive rear steering in rear suspensions, and worn out bushes mean it won’t work as intended.)

Alignment

I'm in Mexico so getting stiffer rear roll bar is going to be difficult. I had the car inspected at a Volvo dealer when I purchased it and there were no reported bushing issues, they shouldn't be that bad at only 60,000 kms. Front shocks will be due in another 40 to 60. At this point I was going to dial in as much front toe out as allowed in the spec since it's due an alignment anyway.
