My beautiful Amazon is having to go because the Hiraeth has finally got me, Im moving to North Wales, have no garage at the new place to keep her in and she is far too good to be exposed to the weather.

This car is the best one I have ever had, lovely looking, super reliable and rock solid. Just came back from a few days in Snowdonia from Northampton and the car didn't miss a beat. Id go anywhere and any distance in it and wish I could keep her.

So, B20 twin carb with overdrive and rear fogs.
Rear high level brake light to reduce the risk of some idiot smashing their plastic bumpers on my nice hefty chrome ones.
Mine since 2011 0n the clock, 45000 (145000) now showing.
Engine is very strong and will roll up the motorway at 70 plus all day. I know, Ive done it.
Still looking for the advert from when I bought it but understand the engine had been rebuilt in 2010 (will try find the ad) and the bodywork restored from the waist down. Cant substantiate this without the ad but bought from neighbour few doors away so will go see him at the weekend see if he has a copy.
Invoice shows new front wings 2010 with all rear quarters and boot repaired professionally.
Unleaded Head conversion in 2000
Massive history and invoice file going back to 1969
Petrol tank new in 2011
new springs and shocks in 2011
new upper and lower suspension bushes +upper and lower ball joints Nov 2011
new anti roll links and bushes Nov 2011
New clutch, spigot bearing, fork gator and return spring fitted June 2012
new track rod ends fitted 2012
Twin carbs tested and balanced by Northants Motor Sport May 2014
4 new tyres Aug 2014 -2 snow tyres come with the car too.
Last 3 MOTs Pass no advisories. MOT due 20 August 2018 and I have no concerns.
No rot or rust Im aware of but feel free to look.

Bad bits-dash cover is a bit ropey
Overdrive is on a flick switch not on a stalk

£6750
Car is in Northampton
Feel free to ring with any queries.
All the best

Hi all,

Been asked to upload some more pictures of the car so here you go.

Note ! The last one is where the paint has cracked a bit by the sill I notice. Appears to be surface as it’s solid but if interested be aware of it.

All the best

Stuart

Update for you

Hi All.

The sill damage in the photos has been bugging me.

Took the car to get it looked at Saturday morning to get a quote for a repair to be made, new section to be welded in, made good and sprayed professionally.

This is a local garage and they are massive classic car enthusiasts.

Quote was £400 all in, labour, parts and vat. So at least any interested party knows it’s done and completely sorted.

Booking in tomorrow for this to be done and new mot as its due in August.

On Saturday took the long way there and the long way back, just to enjoy driving.
What a joy these cars are to rock around in. Always surprises modern car drivers when an Amazon whips past in the fast lane and is completely at home in it.

Whatever you are doing, enjoy your car.

Stuart

Thanks Dave - much appreciated.

I'm pretty sure that there's a new home waiting for yours too.
