Oil 960 door handle
 

Someone please tell me there is an easier way to oil the exterior 960 door handle other than taking the entire door apart.

It is sticking in the open position when pulled

Try wd40 with the little straw and squirt into as many places as possible. Keep working the handle back and forward and it will hopefully free itself. Worked on my 940 but wasn't too stiff. If theres a lock in the handle give it a good squirt as well.

The question is whether it is the handle itself or the connector rod holding it in that position because the catch is no letting it move back... I'm afraid you may well have to take the card off the inside at least.

There is a bolt and a screw on the door at the level of the handle

One is a 10mm bolt, the other is a Philips head screw

I removed the Philips head screw and sprayed lub into that hole....
Bingo! Handle works great....no sticking...much easier than removing the door panel
