Forty years ago, Volvo turned perceptions of what its brand stood for upside down. The Volvo 262 Coupé left no one unmoved and sold significantly better than expected, despite costing more than twice as much as the basic model in the 200 series.

I've been looking for one for months to no avail , can anyforum members help ? Anything information or contact details for someone who could be tempted to sell one would be much appreciated 👍

When bored or rain-stops-play I look at classic cars offered for sale on ebay, and this last year or so several 262s have come up, so they are out there. However, most are virtually rebuild projects, as the few good ones around are revered and now pampered pets. I know a few owners so can say that with confidence!
However, if prepared to either import a good one or take on a probably expensive rebuild, you will get one, no problem, but not as quickly as other Volvo models in already-decent condition.

i started as apprentice in 1983 with volvo i worked on these V6 engine

Volvo for ever - I've just had a mail from a friend with a 262 who also loves those V6s and has plans for better lubrication to his 2.7 engine.
