"Volvo" door puddle lights fitted
 

Hi all, my Daughter bought me these as a birthday gift, sourced from ebay, battery operated with a passive magnetic on/off switch so they illuminate when you open the door:

I’ve been looking for those for some time, but I could find just about every brand but Volvo!

You select 'for volvo' from the drop down list, good thing is you can change the projection to another car type in the future - not that they're expensive as new kits anyway...

how did you find attaching them to the door? do they stick well?

Going to have a look into getting a set of those, the wife would love em. If anybody can find a puddle on a dark evening, I'm your man....

Yes, they come with double-sided 3M adhesive pads. As with all adhesives you need the surface to be clean and free of any silicone dressings etc (I cleaned the area with Isopropyl Alcohol and they stuck extremely well first time.

Nice thing is they hide away at the side of the seats when you close the door, they do take a little bit of trial and error positioning the small magnet to meet with the projector part and I found it easiest to sit inside the car making sure the light went on/off correctly.

May well take the plunge. It’s a pity though, to my semi-OCD mind, that they don’t appear to be ‘handed’.

No the units are exactly the same with the projector lens to the left of the unit.

To be honest I didn't even check this when I fitted mine - I must have got lucky for once :speechless-smiley-5
