XC40 and ATC

Picked up my new XC40 B4 yesterday with retractable towbar. ( forgive me I have posted another thread on this forum about another issue!)

When I hook up my van what should be the permanent live to feed the ATC on the van only becomes live when I open a door or something ( ignition remaining off) and the ATC does its checks.

Also I have noticed that when I start the car the ATC redoes its checks.

Does anyone know if this is normal for the latest towbar and electrics?

Thanks

John

Hi John

I believe this is normal as the exact same thing happens to me on my 2021 model XC90. Also its been the same on my previous XC60's.

Thanks.

Matt

Its exactly the same as this on our XC60. Once its activated it stays on. I thought it was a little strange to start with but have got used to it.
