DMF questions

Hi all, so the 940 I'm using as an m90 donor has the DMF.

when I have the flywheel in my hand I can move the two halves ever so slightly which I'm guessing is normal?

Also the Sachs clutch I will be buying as a replacement as the one on the car is worn down to the rivets, what sort of power/torque is it (and the DMF) capable of handling? I was originally hoping to get 300hp but realistically I'm more likely to end up at 250hp.

Throw that DMF in the bin.

Power wise limit to about 200BHP, short term it is possible to withstand more. DMF flywheels are only designed for use with one clutch kit before being replaced

That's not what I was hoping to hear lol.

What sort of clutch does the dieseasel use? A popular move on the 820 Vitesse Turbo when tuning it is to fit the diesel clutch as it's cheap and takes at least 300bhp and a shed load of torque.

I thik the D24TIC also uses the M90 box so if it doesn't use a DMF but a normal (proper!) clutch set up, that might be an option to consider?

The Dieseasel uses the heavy boat anchor dished flywheel. You can convert to the getting harder to find dished LH2.4 flywheel and use the Dieseasel clutch but you are right on the limit of what that clutch can take. Sachs do a stronger pressure plate and use can use a paddle disk for how power. The trouble is you still have a overly heavy flywheel that can fail is high power use
