Lesjöfors springs
 

Any have used Lesjöfors springs with lowering 30mm for Volvo Amazon?
and can give some feedback?

Got a set on my Amazon - fitted them about 4 years ago.

I'd recommend fitting a set. Nice compliant ride, hold the road quite well and, well, I'm just happy with them.

Also got KYB dampers, full polybush set, uprated anti roll bar.

i see that lot of people say that with GAS ride is softer than bilstein, hows about KYB? because i want it little lower 30-40mm but still want progressive and soft run.

your car is lowered?

you have anti roll bar in front and back what company?

No experience with bilstein, so can't comment.

KYB are OK but perhaps a little soft for track use. I think they give a good compromise with comfort and handling.

When my wear out, I'm going to go for GAZ adjustables.

Amazons never had an anti roll bar from the factory. You can fit one (welding involved) but I have read that it makes the back of the car really twitchy. I prefer a hard front/softer rear end set up (no crude comments, thanks!).

The good thing about progressive springs is that the hard you push them, the better they work. But they are still good for normal road use.

Classic Swede (member of this site) sells good sets as does Amazon cars here in the UK.

thats the think i want it for every day ride so i want it soft but want little lower than original, thats why think to put 30-40mm lower.

because how i heard bilstein are very hard.

Bilstein are way too hard on the rear. KYB are a bit harsh but fine if you like a firm ride. Gaz have a very wide adjustment band.

For a soft ride those 30mm springs should be fine or I do a soft 25mm lowering set. GAZ or just some basic Monroe dampers will give a compliant ride.

It's been said before but Bilsteins are way to hard for my liking. Had them on my first Amo and the back end was terrible. GAZ are far better, but then on a budget maybe a return to new standard coudl suffice.
Springs, I never like dthe Lesjofors compared to the Amazoncars springs they were no ere near as good, on a budget standard proabably good (justs ee how much higher the car rides on new springs vs old).

For me the best susp mod was the IPD front ARB, really puts the body roll in check.
If I was doing it all again I would probably replace all for standard but put on the bigger ARB.

I'm not racing the car, only for summer driving and cruising with the kids so I don't want to feel every little smal rock I meet on the tarmac.

Poly bushings/Fittings - one of the locals claims they squeak and makes the car very hard driving - by hard I mean feeling every little thing you hit. Any one with experience on these ?

Never had a squeaky polybush... and I've fitted a fair few over the years on various cars. Use lube supplied with the bush if necessary and tighten everything up correctly and you should be OK.

Because some polybushes are made out of really hard material, the ride will be affected. You can get more compliant (i.e. softer) bushes. Shop around and see what you prefer.

Personally, I feel the improvement in road holding and ride is worth a bit of harshness. As with everything in life, it's a compromise.

I put them in my car a couple of years ago and did all the bushings over with urethane and I've been very happy. I also did the IPD front sway bar. Held offon the rear after doing too much reading but I think I'm putting that in soon too.
The springs are quite comfortable; not overly stiff in my opinion, or my wife's!
My original were very tired, and uneven which was kind of amusing. Losing 30mm was just right for filling my wheel wells with 185s on 6"rims from VP. The first time I rolled into a gas station at speeds though I realized that 30mm gets you a lot closer to the filler caps in the parking lot. I was very thankful for that beefy front suspension cross member!
