Original Technical Specs for 360
Does anyone know if there is a website listing the original technical detail for cars e.g BHP etc.
I'm particularly intersted in the 360 two litre manual carb version. I've had a look around the web and can't find anything. Thanks Nigel |

105 BHP
0-60 in 10.5s (but i think its faster!) 120+ MPH (guess - find me an airfield and £5 worth of fuel and ill tell you! the injection version does 0-60 in 9.5s 52mpg @ 56mph 38mpg @ 75mph 15mpg in town, from cold, with choke out, with heavy right foot. (from bitter experience!) those 0-60s seem a it slow, but that is due to the high third gear - it cant quite get to 60 in 2nd (i dont think so anyway...i chickened out (read: realised i was in a 40 limit!) at 5k RPM, but it will go happily to 6k). what it masks is that it is one VERY fast car from 0-50 (in 1st and 2nd), mainly due to the extreme ammounts of grip. anything else you want to know? these specs came from the back of the manual (except performance) cheers james |

James,
Thanks for the info - I think I'll get the brakes checked and the suspension before I attempt the 120mph! Cheers Nigel |
RE: Original Technical Specs for 360
120 is the top figure on the speedo, but european (Km/H primary scale) went higher (~130 odd), and I know that one fitted with a turbo engine does 140mph (limited to 6k rpm), so theoretically if the engine can push it to 6k rpm in 5th, the car ought to do 140.
I think the carb version does about 125, while the injection one will hit 130. The guy with the turbo upped the power from the standard injection engine before doing the swap, and he said there was no noticable increase in top speed when moving to the turbo. He had uprated the cam, which would increase top-end power, so this may well confirm that the standard engines cant make 6k rpm in 5th gear! cheers james |

Mines does 120mph until I run out of motorway, I am sure with ear defenders and plenty room 130 would be possible.
PS Make sure you have good oil and stuff. Mines is fully synthetic so I don't worry too much about going fast. Also, if your brakes are in good nick, you shouldn't have too many worries, they are really quite good. |
RE: Original Technical Specs for 360
It is the convention on here that we only use 'closed motorways' for speed testing ;)
one day i will find myself a nice long section of 'closed motorway', and see how fast my little baby will go. cheers james |
