ECU Mapping
Well I think Im going to give it a go before i do the turbo back. fuel pump and injectors etc.
I see Rica Map is up to 235hp and mte is similar i think. Is this the max that can be had with just a airfilter basically? I might try a place local to me called powertune scotland as i know a fair few people who have had there car done there. Do you think this would be a good idea or not??? As although i want to up the power id like to see a little more than 235 without having to do an exhaust sytem etc just now to see how i like it. All thats been done to the car is a Pipercross airfilter and DV. |
235 seems to be the max for standard off the shelf stuff.
Custom RICA and MTE can be done but I woud recommend the MTE imho. I have the RICA and it is very good, but a lot of low end torque and not too much left up top (still cracks 150 though) :) What year is your T4? If you decided to go the RICA route I would be willing to trade my ECU for yours (assuming it would all work) But over all answer would be get the injectors and everything else done first then a custom RICA or MTE map should see you knocking on 250ish It's the 14T which seems to be the real limiter |

Always listen to MR Pyaap he knows his stuff :)
Ashok, would another ECU go into my car without any problems like on older 850's etc? Or will I have to have my RICA de-soldered to have Marco work his magic? |

Cheers Mr Wizard....Marco and Don are already aware that it may need de-soldering so Don's workbench is all ready and waiting for my ECU.
Marco isn't coming over until the new year now so have some time and unfortunately I think it's a protection board that's been soldered in place. Cheers Chris |
