V70 D5 P2 163bhp 130k remap

Was thinking of getting it remapped. Any advice? What to check beforehand? Have Vida and nothing engine wise comes up in diagnostics. Throttle response does seem a bit slow but i have put that down to auto or maybe an issue not detected.
Any recommendations who or where to go?

Cooler looks good and it's an auto. Box seems to work well.

Haven't done myself, but local guy tells the engine should be mechanically in a good coindition - no pressure or vacuum leaks, no sticky vanes, good injectors, DMF gets also a bit more strain.

These guys are very good:https://www.sptuning.co.uk/index.htmlbut they may be a bit far away for you?

They're done a few of may cars and generally do a before and after dyno run to prove the effectiveness of what they've done. Best one of mine as an Audi A6 2.7 V6 diesel that went from 177bhp to 230bhp.

One thing to remember is that it only puts more stress on components when you're using the difference between the before and after figures. When you're pootling around it isn't stressing anything any more than normal. I've never had any issues with any of my cars after they've been remapped anyway.

As others have said, check the basics, but also keep a little war chest to cover those issues that a remap may throw up.

what year ?

If you have a post 2005ish euro 4 D5, i suggest cleaning out the throttle body as after 130k miles you may find that the port diameter is only 60% of what it was with the enormous crud buildup inside, also a good insurance policy as it will fail when overloaded with crud, i posted some pics somewhere when i did some coal mining.. just a thought and an almost cost free upgrade

Euro 3, did an intake clean the other week, wasn't too bad but i could not break the bolts holding the egr on so could not remove it to clean it.
