airbag light on

Hi all I have a v40 t5 on a 2004 plate. Airbag light on. Diagnostics show passenger side rear seat belt at fault. I have changed both n/s/r and O/s/r seatbelts mechanisms and latches. Battery has been disconnected for over 2 weeks, installed all units before Battery reconnected. yet light still persists. Do I still need to get it plugged in to reset. if not can I purchase resistors to fool ECU. (what resistance would be required?)

Yes, it needs diagnostics to reset the light.

yes and dealers charge for that and the only code reader I saw that would do it was 90 quid plus..
A cunning wheeze is to buy a recycled airbag ECU. Chances are it will be Ok with no codes on it (although you cannot be certain)...disconnected the battery beforehand, install it, good to go. I picked one up for 15 quid a couple of years ago...

dependant on what code is stored if it thinks its had a crash it will need the crash sensor resetting flat battery's or low voltage situations can trigger these kind of faults .ask me how i know  a scan with vida would confirm which type of fault you have..ps don't use any kind of resistors on safety systems get it fixed properly

even vida cant reset a hddd code. you need to determine what code you have.
