officially retard the ignition timing a few degrees and change the carb needle every 30000 miles .
however just use it ...you should be ok , unleaded seems a lot more tolerant than it was in the 1980's ! retarding the timing ruins the feel of the engine and any "economy" it might have … if you are up and down the motorway at 70 mph all day long the valve seats may wear but it will take a long time ... |
