Dipstick conversion kit for V60 D5 (D5244T11 Engine)

Hi,

Serves me right for being lazy and asking my local indy to do the oil change for me - got a warning light last night and having read the codes it seems that they've overfilled it. Probably not by much as I provided the oil in two 5L bottles and they used one bottle completely and just a small amount from the second bottle.

I normally do the oil changes and run it with the electronic dipstick at 3/4.

I've read previously that the police spec Volvo's using the D5 engines had a normal dipstick conversion. Is this available for the D5244T11 engine type and if so does anyone know the part number and ballpark cost please?

Thanks in advance.

Cheers
Robin

Have you been able to check the level with the grey service dipstick down on the front edge of the engine in line with the centre of the steering wheel ?

The dash gauge should be at MAX when the engine oil level is correct
( 5.7 litres ) resetting this gauge is part of the service ...

Hello Sir, not as yet but that's on my to-do list.

Cheers
Robin
