Strange Electrical fault

Hi guys

I hope someone can help

I have a P3 d5.

I was traveling along and lost all power well I mean can just cut out and got all the warning lights on at once. I had to free wheel it to a safe stop.

Showing faults now in immobiliser, air bag, breaks, steering basically everything.

I tried booster pack and didn't do anything just starts with immobiliser fault and then second later airbag, breaks etc again

I have it booked with a local mechanic next week but I seen on YouTube someone had a fault like this and was a ECM or something..

I tried to search on here for ecm tho not enough characters and then scrolled through about 15 days to see if it came up before.

Anyways any advise or help would be greatly appreciated. Was heart breaking seeing it getting it recovered.

Cem could be a suspect. Under glove box. Some cars had leak from windscreen and some from windscreen washer hose that is on top of cem. Check for any leaks on passenger side

Sounds like an alternator fault. They're the symptoms.

The alternator I think might of been on its way out. I seen a flicker on full beams there couple of months back and was thinking it's days were numbered.

I'll maybe get a new one. Any recommendations on which to get?

Found this aswell looks same fault

Hopefully it's as simple as that lol

Ok alternator didn't change anything..but thinking as am writing this now.

Id likely need to plug my car into the vida dice to clear all the lights now after the replacement.. even tho I had the battery disconnected etc

That right?

its a myth that disconnecting the battery will clear faults check battery condition cem and all earth points check for any blown fuses especially the one for the ecm. scan with vida to help locate any faults. it definitely sounds like a total electrical failure.
