Dvd missing

Hi all new to the forum, I have just bought a 2004 XC90 executive, as titled the satnav dvd is missing and I am unsure of which one I need from eBay, can anybody help?

Search for "nav dvd Volvo XC90"

Check the compatibility list printed on the DVD case.
If your year Volvo is on the list, it is the right DVD

I tried that but they all say 06 onwards

Search for RTI MMM/P2001 disks.

Just on a side note: you are sure, that there is no disc in there? I know of more cases where the Nav is broken, than DVDs missing.

Error would be the same...

Thanks all, and yes is definitely missing, it had been replaced with daybreakers lol

Tbh I'd think about changing the whole nav into a Garmin or a TomTom. It's far better in the end.

Normally I would just use Google maps on my phone, it's just the convenience of already having a satnav there

I concur that a builtin nav is hugely more convenient than anything on a mobile phone
The built-in nav:
  • does not consume data bandwidth (and thus does not incur roaming charges when out of home country)
  • works in GPS blind spots such as tunnels and mountain valleys (really important for me)
  • integrates perfectly with the car (like muting radio, dinging a phone call)
  • can be operated 100% from the steering wheel, without removing hands
  • can be seen always from the driver's seat, without fumbling for some small mobile device
  • never needs a passcode to activate the screen
  • never runs out of battery power

As for accuracy of maps and traffic info, that varies hugely depending on your area of the world you drive in.
I have no issues with built-in nav map accuracy or with traffic info data, it works really well
