XC60 won't connect to iPhone
 
I seem to have had deteriorating issues with my car connecting to my iPhone 6s. Calls seem ok but it is the data connection. Initially paired by WiFi to the phone for data but switched to a bluetooth connection as that meant it started automatically (i.e data flowed from starting the engine).

Had the car since October 17 but for about two weeks now:


Car will not automatically connect (data) to the iPhone

Now can't get any data connection

Trying to get the car to find a wifi hotspot results in a blue circle and then nothing - no screen change or anything,

Tried a global reset and data reset on the car - still nothing.

Any ideas?

(Have tried my work iPhone 7 and my personal iPhone 6s so don't think it's the phones.

Usually just a wifi tick box wanting ticking in sensus connectivity settings.

But I can’t get to that menu.

Is the globe symbol appearing in the top left of the screen next to the mobile signal indicator? With the initial software load we ended up having a corruption that meant it didn't start the data connection part of the software and the globe never appeared.

It should be there all the time if the data is working correctly and with a line through if no connection is present.

No, it has been in the past (both with a line through it and without the line when connected). Doesn’t appear at at all now.

I assume that’s a trip to the dealer to fix?

I am too having similar issues. Ticking and unticking the WiFi/blutooth connectivity to no avail.
It would appear my profile in settings are greyed out. Not sure if this is part of the problem. Frustrating though.

I reckon so. Sounds like the problem we had.

Ours also lost it's position completely shortly after this started and thought it was in Sweden again.

Dealer visit sorted.

Cheers. It’s on for the 3 month quality check next week so hopefully get it sorted then.

Very odd:

All seems happy today. It takes a little while for the world/internet icon to come on; when it does it has a line through it and then it connects to the iPhone.

Dealer informed and they are offering to check/re-install the software when it goes in next week.

Will see how it goes.

This is very frustrating. I’ve been pulling my hair out this evening. 2hrs stuck in traffic and noticed Sensus has forgot my phone history/ favourites.

i happened to switch my iphone on and off and as if by magic, it reconnects automatically to Bluetooth with full web intergration.
Still no phone history/favourites though. 😡🤬
