360GLE/B200K Fuel Run in Engine Bay - help

1 Attachment(s)
Anyone know how the fuel pipe run should be configured in the engine bay of a 360GLE/B200K? The Fuel Pressure Regulator seems to have been bypassed sometime in the past and is now effectively just an empty pot in the route, see diagram attached as a picture. The Fuel Pressure Regulator is a small vertical white plastic barrel, about the size of a cotton bobbin, fixed to the nearside of the engine block, just underneath the carb. I suspect that the output from the fuel filter (E) should be connected to the top of the Fuel Pressure Regulator (J) and the Fuel Pressure Regulator side pipe (I) should return to the fuel tank (K), so that a constant level of fuel is maintained within the Fuel Pressure Regulator. The carb inlet (F) should then take its feed from off the bottom of the Fuel Pressure Regulator (H). The carb vent (G) presumably must once have been connected via a T-piece to the line back to the fuel tank (K). Can anyone confirm? I've heard that the B200K was also used in some of the 700 series Volvos - maybe a 700 owner could let me know how things are configured? The car runs OK, but sometimes cuts out when coming to a stop, ONLY when the fuel tank is VERY full. Thanks.

Thats weird, I do not know what pipe on the carb is connected to the regulator/return.

the correct plumbing is:

pump-filter-middle connector regulator
bottom connector regulator - carb
top connector regulator - tank return

No T-Pieces, sounds like the regulator is connected to a breather or something.

I don't know how important the regulator is, but the breather will not help the mixture and idle running. Can you provide a photo?
