I have heard about the Volvo App and how great it is. Can it be connected to an Alex's so you could say"Alexa heat the Volvo."

Nope. Which is a disappointment as it would be really handy.

I imagine they’d cite security concerns

Not really a security issue as you can use a Flic button, you simply press it and your Volvo will heat.

I did used to be able to ask Alexa how much fuel was left in my car, seems to have vanished.

Unfortunately though Flic only allows basic functions but excludes “Start Engine” which in reality kinda makes sense.........

Volvo on call together with Google Assistant have been up and running for a couple of weeks now.

Sigh. I can't be the only one who despises the headlong dash to giving up any semblance of privacy in exchange for useless Connected Services.

Google isn't pairing up with Volvo for your or Volvo's benefit. This is a data grab, nothing more nothing less.

I guess I'm driving my last Volvo :(

So, there is no point in getting the Android Auto or Apple Car play then if the maps are now Google Maps and more apps for the car coming online...

Obviously Assistant works with Android Auto but not with VoC as far as I can see?
