Upgrading Brakes
 

Hi Guys,
I am looking for some help and advice if you can help me,i want to upgrade my brakes to either 4 pot calipers or 6 pots,including changing the disc s to larger ones.

I am hearing conflicting stories regarding the incresed effectiveness of these brakes ,has anyone got any experience with these brakes ?

Are 4pot/6pot calipers specially made for the individual cars or is it the mounting brackets which are differant?

How much additional wear do the bigger calipers make on discs?

How much of a differance is their using the ds2500 ferodo pads on standard calipers?

How much of a differance is their between 4 pot and 6 pots?


Any help on this one guys would be greatly appreciated.

Before anyone else says it, I suggest you do a search of the forum under "big brakes". You'll find a wealth of comments and opinions on what does and doesn't work. But be prepared for deep pockets! Once you've had a look, if there are still unanswered questions I'm sure some of the regulars will be able to help, or at least add to your confusion. Good luck!

Hi Guys ,
Sorry for the post, done a search and found a dictionary of Big Brake up grades,will look closer next time,still learning how to use this site.
