Timing chain

Has anyone had any experience of a bad timing chain, and how much it cost to get it replaced? 2.0 petrol, 2012 model year.

Not heard of any issues personally, whats the problem with it?

It's got a metallic sounding cold start up rattle from the area around the chain. Fairly certain it's nothing driven by the aux belts, but I've yet to start it with them removed to confirm. Noise typically last a second or two.
