V40 wanted
 

Hi all

Been browsing for a while on this forum but now trying to sort out a car for my father-in-law.
Looking for the following, as soon as possible:

V40 (got to be estate for luggage capacity not S40)
Late a year as possible, preferably SE or nice luxury extras on the car
Prefer petrol without silly miles on it but would also consider a diesel
Nice genuine tidy car with history wanted.

Cash waiting for right car if it can be purchased within the next week or 2 :thumbs_up:

I'm in Manchester and would be prepared to travel someway for the right car, but not to opposite end of country.
Hope one of you nice people may be able to help?

Went to make a cup of tea and speak to my father-in-law on the phone, then when I came back to your reply the text of your message seems to have been removed for some reason??

Do you want auto gearbox? Mine 1998 v40 CD with all extras full history to 88k, 93k on the clock right now.

Got sorted in the end after viewing a couple of dodgy ones in dealers!
Father-in-law now a very happy 03 V40 owner bought from a private seller, with heated leather seats and all the extras.

Went for a 1.6, its a bit slow on acceleration and not the engine I would've chosen myself but suits him as he wants cheap insurance etc and he's happy as a pig in muck.

Plus it's the most luxurious car he's ever had and hopefully will stay reliable for him.
