Beautiful car at a keen price! I’m just along the way from you in Sherborne, would be very tempted with this if I hadn’t just put a grand into buying and sorting out my 740 saloon.
I know a couple of people down this way who are Volvo enthusiasts so I’ll mention it to them and send them in the direction of the listing on the Bay 🙂 |
Thanks. It's indeed good looking car with attractive price. You always welcome to come and have a look....because it's never to many Volvo's. :)

THE Best Combination!
M90, 2.3 LPT. Oodles of potential. If I hadn't had to spend the start of this year off work due to Hodgkin's Lymphoma (and becoming completely skint!) I would have this off your hands sharpish! Good luck with the sale :) |
Thanks jonnyf90. M90 and turbo red block is good combination. I just thinking it's time for me to try straight 6 with turbo or V8...before fuel prices didn't jump sky high.

I miss my 940 turbo so much - although my “new” 960 is so much more refined - and bizarrely, better on petrol :)
Debating whether to +T it... 2.5 straight 6 turbo should be pretty rapid and a lot better than its ~170bhp it has now... Cheers |
There is one 965 2.5 with M90 sitting and waiting..... possibly for me:)
There are two options 1. Put turbo on 2.5 .....and live with low boost 2. Or just swap for T6...bit of work but then 270Hp in stock. |

Not sure how efficient the 13C from a 940 turbo would be on the 2.5 lump - might already be at its limits! Even 7psi would bring the power up to around 230bhp :) Cheers |
Nice looking car and looks clean bodily and a good price considering low miles.
Quite surprised it has no options like Electric windows etc. Volvos spec must be all over the place. I have a 1996 940 SE LPT. B230FK engine. It has Air Conditioning ,electric windows, electric glass sunroof, electric and heated mirrors and part grey leather interior, heated seats. ABS and drivers airbag. What were the different trim Specifications? Believe CD trim is top spec. Celebration. James:thumbs_up: |

My 96 “Classic” had electric front windows, electric “moon roof” heated mirrors/seats, built in booster seat in the armrest. But DIY back windows and half leather seats. I think the CD was top followed by SE. On the 960, it looks like “SE” was the base model! My 960 SE doesn’t have a sunroof or cruise control and “only” has manual air con (which still works - except when going uphill!) :D Cheers |
