Alarm siren unit - just checking...
...that they can be removed, fettled (new battery I hope, unless it's leaked) and replaced without having to re-code, just plug it back in, and that there's no issues with the immobiliser kicking in?
...and that until removed I can pull the fuse to stop random sounding? Is there a way that the two parts of the siren unit can be separated without having to saw/cut them apart? That's what I did last time, but in the back of my mind is the thought that I didn't have to do that next time! TIA. |

yes/no issues yes no the 2 parts are glued together |
That'll do me thanks :)

it's just a siren module so you can rip it out and motor along. The only fault will be only flashing lights when the alarm goes off - no sound
|
If I rip it out I may as well chuck it back in with a new battery tbh, assuming we've not had a leak.

I'm guessing that more people have climbed Everest than found Alarm fuse 8...

Fuse locations are shown in the Owner's Manual
|
They are. And then you have to locate Fuse 8 in real life ;)

I personally would remove the alarm from the front side by removing bumper and headlight, not the wheel arch.
I consider it much simpler and no need to mess with rivets and the blank head bolt, it just slides out from the metal frame. |
