Head banging

Hi I pick up my new VOLVO on Monday does any one know if its safe to remove the handle above drivers seat as my head hits it and are there any blanks that can go in holes

You can fit a sunglasses holder in place of the handles. You may still bang your head but it may be less angular!
I take it you have lowered the seat?

Hi,
I have fitted sunglass case from former V50 Smooth surface should resolve as 'Old Croc said. Removal of handle would be pretty unsightly!

I have ended up with some serious dents in my skull off the handle in my old S60. Both driving incidents caused by myself, but not dings that needed repairs to the car.

For all the safety Volvo have, I think the handle will crack a skull more than anything else in the car. Easy to happen I would have thought.

So, if anyone has blanking part numbers, please let me know.

I'm only in my early 40s, and realised the other day I have already shrunk 1/2". A good few more years then I shouldn't be banging my head on the ceiling of the V40!

So, old age is the solution to this problem.
