240 GLTors for sale
 

I'm offering my 240 for sale as an on-going/running and driving project to fund the purchase of an XC90 (7 seats are needed).

I purchased the car locally back in October as I had seen the car being driven around by the previous owner and always had first refusal if she decided to sell.

The car itself started out as a 92 Torslanda with the b200 injection engine. But one of the previous owners (who I think used to frequent these forums?) had a rotten GLT and decided to fit the 2.3 Kjet GLT engine and black leather interior and viragos to this Torslanda. Imagine if a GLT and Torslanda ever bumped uglies... This would be their illegitimate lovechild ! :D

She is MOT'd until March 2018 and has a wallet full of old service/mot papers etc. The millage is currently showing as 44k miles but the odometer stopped working a couple of years ago. I suspect the odometer was changed at the same time as the engine swap. I have the parts/cogs needed to fix it but haven't dared to venture deep into the workings of the odometer. The rev/speedo fuel and temp gauge all work as they should.

Since October it's had the usual oil & filter change but I have also spent a bit on upgrade parts in the last few months. These extras include;
-60mm Classic Swede springs
Classic Swede adjustable top mounts/camber plates
New track rod ends done at the same time.

I've advertised it as a running/driving project for a couple of reasons and want to be totally honest in the condition of the GLTors. She's no show queen but far from a rotter! She does need some love, paint is going pink in places, some scabs are showing around the arches and lower front wings - very cosmetic and could possibly be repaired rather than replaced?? The exhaust is blowing and will probably need replacing before the next MOT. Since the springs and adjustable top mounts were fitted, she needs to be sent for tracking/alignment - finding somewhere decent in Anglesey is proving tricky for a full proper alignment. The interior is in good condition, seats have sign of wear in usual places.

The alloys in the photo are not included but may sell them when the 240 goes, I won't be selling them beforehand sorry. The 240 will come with GLT viragos as the last picture.

As for price, £950 buys her :)

Hi guys, 240 is still available.

New baby due in October so open to offers. I've added some photos of the worst parts of the car, she does need love but She's too good to strip but if she doesn't go in the next few weeks she might have to be parted out :(

She's got like new classic swede springs and adjustable top mounts, these are worth a couple hundred quid alone, GLT alloys, black leather, 2.3 engine, m47 box... its a good parts car! But I'd prefer her to be kept whole! :D

cant believe this is still for sale. would be ideal for first 240 as looking for one to restore body wise and re paint but your just so far away wouldnt have any budget to get back home really hope it finds good home
