Anyone ever wet sanded their headlights?
Mine are crazed, wet sanded one so far with 800 grit. Going to finish tomorrow with 1200 grit and 2000 and then polish.
Should I hope turn out like new, then going to get some uv sealant. |
Not done it, but mine need doing...

Been to B&Q on the way to work and bought some of the lacquer you mentioned.
Rubbed down so far with 800 & 1000 grit, just got 2000 grit to go and then paint. Must be magic how putting on the lacquer turns then from sanded cloudy to clear again, will not believe it until I see it happen. Not looking forward to the painting bit, not had much luck in the past (impatient). |

That's what I though but YouTube says different.

I've never bothered with the lacquer bit tbh.

I was going to just polish but seems it lasts longer with it?

20 mins every other year's not really a fuss.

I did this with a Toyota Yaris recently.
The UV Clearcoat magically makes the headlamp clear again, but my finish wasn't great. Orange peel everywhere. Apparently one must Polish the orange peel to get rid of it. This didn't really hurt the headlamp perfomance though!
