Low power issues

Hi all, I’m getting the P0299 code on my car which suggests turbo issues. I did notice a quantity of oil in the intake however not enough to smoke so I didn’t think much of it. After doing some research I know now that the vacuum lines are a possible cause as well but still not sure. I have ordered a turbo rebuild kit so I guess once I’ve done that I’ll get a better idea.
Well if anyone had any input that will be appreciated, thanks,
Joe

Hello , I find this from this forum 2016
Thanks for all your help, just an update on this... (really ticks me off when people don't close their problems down once they get it solved).. I have took the throttle body off and gave it a good clean along with the Intake Air Temperature sensor and the MAP sensor.. I also blanked the EGR and unplugged it... no warning lights on dash. The car now runs like a dream at idle and the acceleration is back. I have had no issues for a good few days and have covered at least 200 miles since doing this!

You’ll find it’ll smoke less under acceleration, cold starting and fuel economy will improve too.
