Full length roof rack feet
 

Does anybody have the original Volvo full length roof rack for the 700/900 series with the feet that attach to the gutter? Mine came with no protection on the feet and I was wondering if they originally had rubber/plastic as I plan to restore mine in black. I have found some 2mm rubber sheets and plan to glue some on but i'm not sure if that's thick enough to do the job? Also, does anyone know the weight limit?

Do you mean the aluminium roof-rack? I have one spare as I now use an SDV galvanised steel, which isn't good for fuel consumption but takes a good load.

From memory, the alli one - now resting in the garden - has all clamps present bar one. Pretty sure there was a plastic liner. I'll have a look tomorrow.

Mine isn't SDV but it's essentially the same thing so the feet should be fitted the same, thanks. My feet have lost whatever protection they were originally fitted with.
