Headlight wiring :

Dipped Beam Feed - Green (one side) and Green/White (t'other side)

Main Beam & Auxiliary Driving Lights Feed - Blue/White (one side) and Red/White (t'other side)

Front Fogs Feed (both sides) - White/Black

Earth - Black.

Not all 940s had front fogs though. :nah:

Don’t understand why you would want to. The one’s in the headlamp unit are at such a height that you may legally use them anytime you wish to do so. Mine are adjusted so that the beam is below the dipped headlamp beam so they still operate as “fog lamps” if required, which is very rarely, but the wide flat beam is very useful on winding minor roads.

I had fog lights built in to headlamps on a 740. A GLT 16v if I remember correctly. Anyway they were superb. I had to use them driving from Exeter to Essex in early hours fog. I was very pleased to have them.

If I moved downstairs from 240 to a 700 or sililar, then built in fog lights would be a temptation.

Just so you know, you'll struggle to get the same performance from aftermarket fog lamps as you get from the built in ones.

Closest you'll get will be these :

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ring-Micr...4/264198210551

They are an aftermarket copy of the Bosch OE lamps fitted below the bumper on 7/9xx cars.

That is an absolute reason. :)

Dare I just say. As you have the superb built in foglights, and foglights are about stayng alive, well OK either way you'll have fog lights, and many drivers do not have fog lights, I should not dramatise this. :)

When fog descends the best lights possible are a Godsend from the kingdom of heaven which is within us.

Now that is not dramatising ....

Stupid question .... or no! How do these spots fit to a 745 facelift style under bumper faring as the lower section has humps and bumps in places where I would imagine the spots fit? Bob :)
