The car doesn't come with bluetooth as standard... could this be an aftermarket one and how would you suggest i check?

Ideally it would be great to get it to work if it is Bluetooth… if not, like you said. I don’t want to touch it!

Most probably part of a hands free kit but you'll need to find the module/controller to see what type. They usually mount them either in or behind the glovebox.
