Volvo V50 2.5 T5 Sport Estate 5d 2521cc Spares or Repair

2007 Volvo V50 2.5 T5 Sport in the rare metallic blue; unfortunately it has a blown head gasket.
So it either requires a replacement engine or a rebuild.

Liners and or head split? Seems weird to strip it that far then not just whap a gasket on it.
