V70 D3 Phase 3 5 cylinder noise on start up
 

Handily someone posted on another thread (that didn't resolve) this link to the sound my car is making for maybe 10 seconds on start-up:

Anyone any first hand knowledge of resolving such a noise? I'm thinking alternator pulley as a first guess. Can you get any clues towards serviceability of an alternator pulley but removing the aux belt and manipulating the pulley by hand?

Any tips on alternator replacement also appreciated in case I head in that direction.

Obviously I' ll be listening and analysing very carefully to diagnose this, just hoping the internet hive mind can give me a head start.
