Diesel top water hose
 

Hi, my wife's 2001 model V40 diesel eats top water hoses! She bought it at 3 years old, and I had to replace the hose within a month as the jubilee clip on the engine end had cut into the hose and split it. I have done it once since then, and now it needs doing again! It is the same problem of the clip biting into the hose. Is this just me, or has anyone else had this problem? The hose costs nearly £30 and it makes expensive motoring if they are only lasting about 15,000 miles!

Am guessing there must be something wrong somewhere
